Legal
Road English is operated by Dextrata Software Inc., a corporation incorporated in Canada. Contact: [email protected].
The documents below govern your use of the Service. Together they form the agreement between you and Dextrata. Each is written in English; where a translation exists, it is for convenience only and the English version governs.
The agreement
- Terms of Use — the master agreement: accounts, enrollment, licence, acceptable use, warranties, limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution.
- Refund Policy — a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked; after that, sales are final, subject only to the mandatory consumer rights that apply in the EU, the UK, Quebec, and elsewhere. Also covers billing errors and chargebacks.
- Disclaimer — Road English teaches English. It is not legal, immigration, employment, safety, or regulatory advice, and it guarantees no outcome.
Privacy
- Privacy Policy — what we collect, why, who we share it with, where it goes, and how long we keep it. Includes the rights of users in Canada (PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25), the EU and EEA and UK (GDPR), and US states with privacy statutes (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others).
- Cookie & Storage Policy — the one cookie we set, what stays on your device, and why there is no cookie banner.
Content and access
- Copyright & Takedown Policy — ownership, what your licence permits, our AI-training opt-out, and how to send a DMCA or Canadian notice-and-notice claim.
- Accessibility Statement — our WCAG 2.1 Level AA target, known limitations, and how to report a barrier.
- AI Disclosure & Policy — the course voices are synthetic, some translations are machine-produced, and the Virtual Teacher is an AI chatbot run on OpenAI. Where AI is used, what it never does, and what we do not claim for it.
- Open-Source Licences — the third-party software and fonts Road English uses, and their licences.

- Course Correction — an error in a lesson, its audio, or its translation.
- Unsubscribe — stop receiving any non-essential email from us.

Changes
We may update any of these documents at any time by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Unless the document itself says otherwise, changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service; no refund is owed.
Order of precedence
If these documents conflict, they apply in this order: (1) any separate written agreement signed by us, (2) the Terms of Use, (3) the Refund Policy, (4) the Privacy Policy, (5) every other document on this page. Nothing on this page overrides a right you hold under applicable law that cannot be waived by agreement.
